So , let's see. It has worked well , making cappucino, expresso and drip coffee for 10 days. I bought this in mid- December for my husband's birthday. that's $10 a day for coffee. This Am ( now that we are thoroughly addicted to cappucinos ) , the expresso/cappucino component failed to work. I took it apart completely , read and re- read the troubleshooting guide but, to no avail. surpassing even Starbuck's prices. Signed, sad in Colorado
Coffee tastes great, however the machine did start leaking. Think that there is a possible safety hazard. Water was all over my counter and floor as well. You would think that the manufacturer would address this. Water leaking, coffee maker plugged in electricity. dont know.
My Mom had one and my husband wanted his own, liked it so much we bought one for our son. It works great, we have latte's every day. and my husband loves waking up to the smell of made coffee, better then an alarm clock. It doesn't come with a frothing cup so make sure you get that seperate.
Anyway, I am in NJ and wheelchair bound. I received this cofee/espresso maker as a gift for Christmas 2008. I called Delonghi and they want me to get it to Brooklyn or Long Island. It is leaking from the bottom now and it seems that it's been leaking for a while. I see that a review from 2007 complains of this too. I don't think so. This problem seems to have existed for years and they have not addressed it.
The machine stopped working completley after 2 months and light usage. Bad electronics, poor quality checking, who knows.but you will want to avoid it.
